True Progress Releases Free Weibull Reliability Calculator

True-Progress.com has released its Free Weibull Reliability Calculator version 1.0.2. You can download this tool by following this link.

This simple calculator utilizes the Weibull distribution to generate reliability data for your system given the Weibull shape factor and either the mean lifetime of the component population in question, or the percent population failed at a specific point in time. The calculator generates graphs displaying the failure distribution over time and the cumulative failure curve. It also generates MTBF, reliability, failure rate, percent population failed, and fraction of replacements required at a point in time of your choice.

It is up to the user to maintain consistency regarding the units of input. The results will be valid so long as the units of time across the inputs remain the same (hours, cycles, years, etc.). The results are reported in the same unit as that of the input. [ad name="Adsense Small Horz Banner"] Help functionality within the calculator is limited at this point, but definitions for the terms utilized are provided by clicking on the labels in question. Future versions of this calculator will likely include more options for input data as well as improved help resources.

Important: You must have a valid working licensed copy of Microsoft Excel ('97 or later) to use this calculator.
